​What is a diploma?

  • Diploma courses are usually more technical and provide students with practical skills that can be directly applied to the field of their choice. The length of the diploma program depends entirely on your field of study and the requirements of the college. At Fraser Coastal International College, we are committed to designing a diploma program under one year or less to prepare you for your career field.

What is a certificate?

  • When you get a certificate, it means that you have mastered the training of a specific occupation, or mastered the skills related to the job requirements. This shows that you have received proper practical training for a particular position, and you can apply for that position as soon as you enter the field.

PTIB

  • The PTIB is the provincial regulatory body of British Columbia, Canada responsible for accrediting private post-secondary institutions and ensuring it reaches the standards of quality and students protection

  • To apply for a study permit, you need an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution. A designated learning institution is a school approved by a provincial or territorial government to host international students.

  • The Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation is available to public and private institutions in B.C. that meet or exceed quality assurance standards set by the province of B.C.

  • NACC is a national association representing 500 regulated career colleges from across the country. We have an elected Board of Directors from across Canada that oversees the organization and is responsible to its members.
